Hi,
I want to replace license plate bulb with a new one.
On both official and unofficial Zero manuals i didn't found how to access bulb.
I think there are no screws to remove but I would be sure before making any damage to any component.
Can you help on this?
thank you

I was wondering what sort of brake light I needed to buy as a spare for my 2018 S should the rear tail light go out. I looked in the owner's manual and discovered a statement that the rear light bulbs were not replaceable and needed to be repaired or replaced by a franchised Zero dealer. Which I guess is why you can't find any screws to remove the tail light cover like most ICE motorcycles have.

I found this thread https://www.electricmotorcycleforum.com/boards/index.php?topic=9356 talking about mentioned bulb.

It’s a bit difficult to access this bulb so change it out to an LED so you never (hopefully) have to do it again.
1st remove the 4 screws that hold the section of the tail extension that has the license plate/light/reflectors from the tail extension that holds the turn signals.
There will be wires from the light that you probably want to unplug at this point.
Now unscrew the 2 8mm nuts to remove the light.
Now remove be the 2 screws to access the bulb.
I (now) think the bulb is a W5W4N3 but recommend a 5w led replacement thats low profile.
Reassemble in reverse fashion.

My aim is to LEDificate whole bike.. I already swapped headlight bulbs with LEDs one.. so the only ugly orangish light is the license plate one.
seems quite difficult to access it but I'll definitely try.
thanks for tips =)
