Hey All!
I'm brand new here and I just bought a 2017 DSR. Currently it has the Storage Tank, but I have a need to install the Level 2 charger on the bike. It feels wrong to go out and buy a brand new charge tank for the bike, so I was hoping there was an after market solution or somewhere I could find used ones.
I searched on this forum for a bit and didn't find an answer, so I apologize in advanced if this is a common question!
Does anyone know a solution for this?
Thanks!

There is no one in the US currently making aftermarket charging for Zero bikes.
edit- and I've never seen anyone part out or sell an OEM Charge Tank, nor would I expect to, really.

That was my concern, I didn't think there was. Thanks for the response!

I'm not sure how to search for this, but crashed or salvage Zero motorcycles?

Also Crash, the 17 charge tank was only like 3.3kw not the 6kw that they have now.
Some of the charging function may have to be modified on a 17 to make it work.

That's a good point! Am I of the correct assumption that if I purchase a new 6KW charge tank from filipacchi that I will be able to get the full 6KW out of it? The BMS/computer won't limit me right?

Mvetter knows all the charging specs and reasons.
Just from my memory it may be a charge fuse being too low. Zero used to have all the model year specs on their site but took it all down.
I just seem to remember the the 6kw charge tank was only for 2018 and newer bikes.
A charger that goes through the aux port is a different matter most likely.

The MY17 Charge Tank was pretty rough. It was actually only 2.5kW and unreliable. They got rid of them pretty quick.

Supposedly you can use the 6kw charge tank in 2015+ S/DS models.

If you're good with an auxiliary charger, contact Elcon. They made me a setup last year including the correct Anderson Connector, etc. Combine that with a j1772 adapter from tucson ev, and you get much faster charging than from the on board charger alone.
