Title: MotoE Testing in progress

Last year of using the Energicas.  According to news sources, they are using a new battery this year.  The only thing I've seen is that the new battery is lighter than last year's... no other specifications that I can find.

Roadracing World posted a correction today.  The battery hasn't changed.  The weight reduction is due to a new motor and inverter.

How does it work,. Every team gets the same bike and returns it at season end but has to buy parts to repair crash damage?   Am I close?
