That looks really nice. I'm a bit of a sucker for a single-sided swingarm despite them not really being a practical choice.

I've always wanted a Speed Triple and this seems to marry the style of the ST with the awesomes of EVs. And most importantly... it's a volume manufacturer with proper backup and support.

Unfortunately, right now the TE-1 appears to be more of a test-bed mule than a future production model, according to what I read in that and other articles. It is supported by government grants and is helping various companies working on the project to both further develop EV technology by trying to make it fit into a much smaller platform than in a car and also to get their names in the news. It sounds to me that all Triumph is contributing is the chassis design and platform. Nice, looking though.

It's definitely not a production vehicle, no, but as I understand it it's being designed like a production vehicle, so Triumph will be able to factory produce it when the time comes. Which is apparently calculated by some nebulous formula concerning the cost of production and how many people they think will want to buy one. I wouldn't expect to see it available before 2025.

Good looking bike and the horizontal charge plug inlet is one of those "why didn't everybody do that" things.
