Maybe you read the same other forums as I do.  Emails have been sent out requiring $1000 to convert the deposit to a reservation.  They don't seem to be responding to shipping quote requests.  There is a deadline before the price goes up and that deadline has been extended.  They seem to have got it holmogonated and lots of folks do not like what it looks like with the blinkers mirrors side reflectors etc.  Is that any news you were not aware of?

The owners would be free to remove all of that stuff... of course it would no longer be street legal and may not pass inspections in those States that require annual inspections.  But no, I haven't heard anything beyond the most recent article in Elektrek

Regarding the shipping costs and taxes, as of right now, SONDORS has not released any exact shipping prices or shipping dates.
 
Due to the production, we are doing at this point we are still working out details with our shipping partner to make sure we keep the shipping costs as low as possible for our customers.

I checked the Sondors subreddit and it's just flooded with people requesting refunds and being summarily ignored or delayed, like rats fleeing a sinking ship.

Same story here I signed up with a $100 deposit and four days later they sent an email wanting another $400 would not respond to phone calls or emails to refund $100 deposit.  I finally had to open a claim with my bank to get my deposit back,

My friend had TRIED to put a deposit down on one, but the bank refunded his money almost immediately.  They wouldn't let him make the deposit as they felt it was a scam.  I think I'd posted this here early last year when he initially told me about it.
