Has anyone scoped out aftermarket buttons for cruise control? Mainly moving the activate/deactivate button over to a button on the left side?
Also, assuming it's a third party controller, does the system have the capacity to add a resume function? It'd be really handy for those A-Roads where you have to negotiate a roundabout every 5 minutes.
I feel like this is a Hans type of thing.

Sorry I'm not a cruise control user 😂. At least not without radar. And yes I realise BMW has that on the RT and K1600. But those aren't electric.
A resume function or plus and min buttons will only happen if energica makes a firmware update. And I honestly don't think that is on their roadmap.
Technically you could make something but the risk of messing up when not at the source is so high that I don't expect anyone to touch it. Not to mention the small market.
The buttons could be replaced. Those are just switches. I've seen some who added extra buttons on the left. I haven't checked wiring but again others have. If you open up the housing on the right you can find the right colors.

Thank you, the wiring also goes internally and then runs through the oem wiring harness that was on the handlebar.

I have had something 3D printed for that, that will sit around the large part of the grip, with 2 buttons on it, but there will be space for more buttons if necessary.
I will just mount it and test it and the I will show you.

I am glad to see you looking into this, the Energica cruise control is Extremely clumsy to operate .
I made a decision that I would never buy another bike without cruise control my Energica has taught me that it should function properly as well.
Is it really to much to ask ? A plus and minus and resume function? and buttons that are ergonomically easy to reach.
I mentioned this to the Energica service rep and he suggested that I reach over with my left hand to use the buttons on the right cluster.
I have had two Yamahas and a moto guzzi with cruise and they have a much better handle on how a cruise control should operate.

Yeah, a resume function would be really nice, you can already do plus and minus because once it's operating you can reach the set button and that part feels natural enough to me.
I think the issue is that this is a third party button cluster that was designed to be closer to the twist grip but the Energicas have a thick potentiometer between them which means it's too far to stretch your thumb.
