Another question concerning the Quick Charger, which is shipping out to me tomorrow. When I remove the cover for access to the connector, will I find a removable male plug that stays there when the charger is not connected?

See page 5.9 of the owners manual available on the Zero website.

Thanks, and I have already looked at that page, but no information if the Power Pack Connector has a rain cover/plug.  I'm planning on cutting a flap in the Flexible Protective Cover like the diagram shows, but would like something to protect the connector from debris. Maybe it won't be an issue due to the location

Do not cut anything. Just remove 2 of the screws that maintain the rubber. The rubber will stay in place without any problem, even with the missing screws.

Just to do not lose the screws, screw them back in place, but without the rubber. It is recommended to use some threadlocker, it will prevent the screws from unscrewing by themselves.

Thank you. I appreciate that suggestion. It seems that on my bike, those 2 fasteners are plastic push ins.

I did receive the charger, and there is a diagram included that shows to cut a flap      ................  I have to turn the bike around to access that side.  I'll check it out

I just checked on my FXS: there is one fastener only, and it is a screw. I have made another video:

Note that the rubber stays perfectly in place without this screw.

Is it different on the FXE ?

Yes! My FXE has 3 plastic push pins where your bike has screws. Two up top and one below.

I appreciate you helping me out with my new bike
