Title: Conti Road Attack 4
Post by: Richard230 on December 10, 2021, 04:59:05 AM
Conti has a new sport touring tire called the Road Attack 4. Here is a link to an article regarding Conti's new and improved (and likely more expensive) "hyper-touring" tire that is manufactured in sport bike sizes that might fit the latest Zeros and Energica models:  https://www.motorcycle.com/features/conti-roadattack-4-hyper-touring-tire-first-look.html

Got their work cut out for them to improve on Michelin Road 5s. At this point I can't imagine what a better tyre feels like. At least for my SR/F anyway.

Cas :)

Meanwhile, Michelin, not to be outdone, has published a full-page motorcycle tire ad in the latest issue of the BMWMOA Owners News magazine that claimed that their latest "new generation" sport touring tire would be announced on January 1.  What do you know, even print magazines can have "teasers". I wonder if it will also have a "new generation" price, too.  ::)

I had some RA3's on my Multistrada 1200S, and they were fantastic. My Zero SR has one Michelin Road 5 and one Conti RA3 due to low availability in those sizes and they've both performed great. When it comes time to put new rubber on the SS9, I'll probably go with RA4 but I could be persuaded to go with the Road 6 GT's depending on the feedback I hear. It currently has Pirelli's, which I know are good tires but the newer ones tend to have a straight section of tread that follows grooves in the road, causing a similar sensation to a loose headset. I find that feeling very unnerving and avoid the brand for that reason.
