Definitely Zero's powertrain and you can get it configured with either 1 or 2 monoliths worth of juice. Pretty cool!

Nice. :) Having Polaris as a partner for their power trains and battery packs can't be anything but good for Zero's future - and purchasing power.

The local Zero-authorized dealership in Reno NV USA circa 2016 is primarily a Polaris dealership and got dropped by Zero. ??? I'm sure this is going to make them crazy to have to service Zero drivetrain again.

Right an extra 14.9 of battery called capacity for $5000 and that also includes some other upgrades.

Why?! how do we know this aint a 14.9kWh+ battery in there? ;)

It is certainly impressive, but the cost is nuts at close to that of an EV car with double the motor and 3-4X the battery and far more features.
I understand why, just hard to swallow.

I don't understand why they don't offer fast charging, at least as an option.. In my opinion it's almost as if they don't want to sell it

But they do... 9kW on the "ultimate" model (including the optional 3kW charger). Which they call "fast charging" ;D
If you mean why no CCS DC fast charging, it's no different from why Zero bikes don't have it: System voltage is too low.

From Transport Evolved, they have already sold out of the planned units.
As for CCS charging, why in the world would you want CCS charging on a utility farm vehicle? At this point no one has anything close to CCS at their house and the thing isn't road legal.
You would have to trailer it to a station to charge it. No point at all. Bikes are one thing but not this.

Low-rate (~25kW) residential/destination CCS DC chargers do exist; they start at about US$7000.
it's a niche market to be sure, but it does allow charging 11kW BEVs (common in 230V-3-phase land) at double the usual rate (or 6.6kW/7.4kW cars at triple the rate), or to share a single destination charger among more vehicles if for some reason installing multiple AC chargers at the location is not practical.
Sure, not relevant for a utility quad.

Because these are (AFAICT) standard Zero drivetrains? Only difference is an optional monolith. Maybe different gear ratio.
The point is to re-use the Zero drivetrain as-is -- changing voltage essentially means re-doing the R&D, different components & wiring etc.
Unlikely that the R&D expense is worth it for just this product line -- I may be wrong, but I doubt this will sell in large numbers @ $25K-$30K.
When Zero finally up the voltage, it'll be to support CCS DC charging.

I bet they sell well to many government agencies that are not concerned by high electric vehicle prices but are concerned about global warming and local pollution. ;)
