I'm newbie of Zero motor, anybody know the function of torque control of Zero motorcycle?
- It control torque at electric motor shaft or rear wheel?
- Why we have to control this torque? What does it bring to? to causion any part damage?
I did'nt see this function at other electric motorcycle

Not sure why you're confused. "Torque" is the term used to define a "twisting force," i.e. the force used to turn the motor which in turn rotates the rear wheel. Maximum torque means you are sending the maximum amount of force to the rear wheel at the expense of using more power. Reducing the torque reduces the power.

Of couse bro! I know the meaning of torque. But I'm just confuse the function of torque monitoring in zero motor.
as my question, Zero measure torque at electric motor shaft or rear wheel? if measure at rear wheel? for what? to control wheel traction as KTM? I dont ask "what is torque", I just wanna know what is purpose?

It controls the motor torque. Zeros make a lot of torque, so turning it down a bit can help make it less scarily fast.

You didn't say which model you have.
If it is a model without traction control, you don't want to have too much torque available for when roads are wet.
Where you should set this stuff could be an endless debate. All the settings do is provide limits. It is possible to set everything at max and do the same things as when set lower. But then things get more touchy.
I often ride in the eco mode until I hit the freeways, then I use my custom mode which is set just a little less than Sport on everything except brake regen which I put at 100%.

Since they are directly connected via the drive belt it doesn't really matter. If you open throttle on an icy surface, neither the rear wheel nor the pulley at the electric motor will be able to apply much torque. The numbers are different since the sprockets aren't the same size, but that like asking if you're going 50 mph or 80 kph. Same thing.

The point is to prevent friction loss between the rear tire and the street. Even on a slippery surface with full regen, the wheel will not lock up. Or at full acceleration, the torque control prevents wheelies as well as a burnout.

Motor torque is proportional to motor current - one measures current for the translation.
Apply torque constant plus driveline loss to get wheel torque.
Traction control modulates or inhibits applied torque thru feedback signaling to traction drive.
I'm certain you can get a more qualified explanation, this is a simplistic view from someone that's never ridden a Zero.
