I've only just noticed Verge motorcycles and their hubless wheel TS model when they posted a photo on the way to the Fully Charged Outside event in the UK.

Hubless wheels have always appeared on concept bikes but never gone anywhere due to the high speeds inside what's effectively a huge bearing. There's always the possibility that as this hubless wheel is the motor it might be different. The fact that there are no videos of it going at any reasonable speed make me doubt it though.
Anyway, a vice nice design but I won't be pre-ordering one.

They've shown up at a few shows... But when will they show up on the street?

Well it may have been at a show, but today I got to ride one on the street. They tell me that production is "a few weeks away". I can believe it.

1000 NM of torque? Is that a misprint? That is something like 700 ft/pds of torque.

Measured no doubt at the rear wheel, which means it's effectively measuring thrust, and that figure sounds entirely plausible.
Cas :)
