Title: Zero SR/F Quickstrike accessory parts
Post by: Richard230 on September 01, 2021, 07:16:41 PM
Zero has announced a pile of accessory parts that will change the look of your SR/F into a "Quickstrike" model. However only 100 accessory packages will be made available, so likely the "package" will have a premium price.  No mention of the cost, so you will likely have to contact your dealer about that, unless that information leaks out later via the internet later. Also, no comments yet below he video, however it has received 4 likes and 5 dislikes so far. Here is their short promotional video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJn5kqb76cg

Not the sort of tat I'm after this time around... what I want is some upsidedown bar end mirrors next. Though I like the smoked LED indicators. Carbon fibre always had a price premium way out of whack with its actual utility.
After that, it's 1" bar risers, and then I'm going to start looking at the shock and forks.

Cas :)

*yawn* my take: this is eyecandy for dealerships to talk about other than the "12V" system that powers the bike for 300 miles and charging only takes 10 minutes from your home outlet  ::). Real people understand and can all agree just by how it looks that carbon fiber makes you a better and more interesting person in the world of your peers. It can even make your bike go faster, and since there's only limited quantities, for a price, you can be truly one-of-a-kind... of a hundred  :-*.

In the press release it says that the kit is $999, so all in all not terrible for the parts I suppose - I suspect the only thing you won't be able to buy is the tank sticker that says Quickstrike, but TBH the sticker is a bit lame to my eyes.

Booo.
A small electric motorcycle manufacturer wasting its very scarce resources on limited-volume, uninspired bling, instead of things that really matter, like extending range (needed for any usage except commuting, or short-distance offroad with mandatory towing vehicle), or improving their dismal charging.

Don't know what they're going to charge for it, but have a hard time believing it'll have positive RoI.

It sure didn't look like a thousand dollars of parts, nor like something particularly difficult for them to order right now.

Unlike, say, a full cowling.
