Title: SR/F tire changing paddock suggestions?
Post by: Prickly on August 18, 2021, 08:45:15 AM
Rear tire on my SR/F was flat this morning so I will probably need to get a couple of paddocks. Anyone have a suggestion of what brand to get or have a better idea of what I should do?

I used for a DSR the (and would recommend) MotionPro RimShield-II (MP part 08-0546) and BeadPro (MP part ?) to carry with a Safety Seal small ATV tire repair kit. A small bit of PVC pipe keeps the Safety Seal probe and reamer from punching holes in the carry case. Not exactly effortless, but best tradeoff because I changed or had tires run flat not very frequently but having that kit with me I could patch or go find a tire and not worry about some random mechanic leaving the bike in an unsafe condition (which had happened several times... putting wheel on crooked, loose nuts, overtightened axle, siezed brakes, putting the wrong / other customer's wheel on my bike... moto mechanics in the wild are shite with Zero bikes in my experience).

I'd heard good things about the Rabidconda (medium-large sized quick tire changing apparatus) and if anyone does have experience with it please say so.

New Michelin Road 5 installed. I didn't have a belt tension gauge. Ordered it & should get it tomorrow. Almost back on the road

It took a lot of trial & error & patience but I think I got the wheel all square. Test ride tomorrow. Wish me luck

I took a leisurely 15 mile test ride yesterday.... I stopped multiple times. The belt looked good(no frays or belt dust) , the belt felt tight & wasn't hot. All good 😌

I used a "Oxford SP822" on the front. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004DNVEHI/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_imm_awdb_V78XSZ4SND4JDC8ACSVX
