The global supply chain is totally upended and so, based on what we see with the FXE, I'm all out of hope that DSR/X or new SR will be anything more than BNG and TFT LCD same as FXE. ???

My daughter works for a company that sells kitchen products and other random Chinese-made stuff. She told me yesterday that they are running out of products to sell. Their warehouse is almost empty and the containers with more stuff is on a ship making a grand tour of the world before arriving at LA. So they are now thinking of rebranding leftover products that were found in the back of their warehouse that no one wanted to buy years ago and selling it as a new product in the hopes that their customers will buy anything available this summer. ::) And so it goes in 2021. ;)

We should really stop letting China makes all our crap products and produce them ourselves. Oh wait...that didn't come out right.

I'm good with a styling refresh for both bikes. As long as the underpinnings remain the same it means you can give your existing bike a face lift by just replacing parts if you like. OTOH, if they replace the dash with a more modern TFT screen, that's beyond my ability to change. Since the S and the SR are basically the same bike but with different motors and controllers I am already picturing what might be possible.
As for a DSR/X... if they truly want to make a more "dirt worthy" bike it would be simple enough to fit spoke wheels and a chain drive. I'm all for belts on the street but off-roading REALLY does better with a chain.

The local kitchen store is filled to the brim with stuff because they just got their last-Christmas shipments. The local PetSmart is selling last year's Halloween costumes and plushes because that's what just arrived.
The cheese and dairy section of our local grocery is empty again; unless you want fancy cheeses, that's still full. Last year they ended up buying a bunch of restaurant-pack foods and relabeling them to make sure they never ran out of milk and beans and stuff.
What a mess ^-^;
