Title: SDS & S parts interchangeable
Post by: Kill3rT0fu on July 20, 2021, 07:41:26 PM
Which parts on the S and the SDS platform are interchangeable? Most specifically I'm wondering about the belly pan, but also curious about other things like tank plastics and other miscellaneous nuts & bolts.

The bellpans and tank plastics are interchangable (the frames and thus where the parts mount are identical) although different. The other differences are the rear shock, fork, front wheel, tyres, front mud guard, and I think the handlebars. You can however put those parts from one model onto the other with some considerations, like a DS front wheel won't fit on S forks with the S mudguard and even with the DS mud guard mounted you would want to make sure the front wheel wouldn't hit the lower crown on full compression.

And of course the monolith case varies by year and model.  Some have that middle cubby, some don't, some are slightly fatter, etc.
