Title: Custom power tanks?

I'm just curious what the feasibility would be for a DIY power tank. Does the S model need any modifications to the charger/controller if there's an added battery pack to the bike?

Well the bike is expecting whatever second battery you plug into it to integrate with their BMS (unless you don't run a BMS, truly living life on the edge like a wild man) and their pack voltage which is going to mean a pack running 28S. Terry Hershner ran several BMS-less long bricks for a few years which was only mildly terrifying. You could try to message him on FaceBook since he's rarely on here these days.
