Title: Minor Mods
Post by: Flybuddy on May 18, 2021, 11:00:13 PM
Did some minor mods to the new S while waiting on ordered add-ons. Velcro straps over both sides of the lower shock support tube to safely store the charging cable. Would probably be fine without it but afraid it might vibrate out and hit belt with nothing to stop it. Added some inexpensive handlebar risers (link below). Also went by local dealer and took pics of SR/S pegs to see the diff from stock. Looks to be too small a change and I'll work toward something a bit more extensive.

SR/S peg difference may look small, but the riding difference was night and day for me. I went from extreme knee and leg discomfort after only 20 minutes to being able to ride from 100% to 0% without any discomfort at all.

Thx, I’ll keep that in mind..Any idea what the SR/S pegs cost?

How did you attach the velcro?

I've not had any trouble with it sliding around in there, but it would be best if I couldn't accidentally kick it out!

I ordered mine from SF Moto, the local Zero dealer. They had them in stock and it cost me about $20.

Attached small section of hook side of Velcro to each side of tube. I then cut a long section of loop side of Velcro down the middle and attached the sticky sides to each other.
