There’s an update to the Gates Belt Tension app for iOS...significant upgrade from the previous version. Even allows for a “motorcycle” option.
I’ve been tensioning the belt by “feel” (vibration transmitted to pegs/bars, noise, etc) as I found the previous app unusable and the recommended tension with belt tension tool to be too high.
After updating to the new app, checked the belt and consistently hit 67Hz, fittingly nicely into the manual’s recommended frequency range.
Worth trying the app again if you’ve given up over the years.

Thanks for that info. I will soon try it out.

in my case, I can't have any consistent reading with this new version, while the previous one worked perfectly :(

App got another update with improvements to the microphone algorithm and an option to bypass the startup video.
