Title: Are 4C batteries around the corner?

Silicon doping seems to be the new hotness that's being tamed in lithium ion batteries, and there's evidence that batteries with high charge rates are on the horion.

This guy has a great series on batteries, specifically Tesla's experiments, and the different difficulties that materials bring.  Each video can't,cover everything, of course.  His speculation about Battery day was spot-on, though, so his guesses have been good so far.  Makes for good viewing if you wonder about the different words being bandied about.

A lot of recent news on the solid-state front, too, with the developers claiming "faster charging than Tesla". I expect they're a decade off of consumer production though.

Yeah, lots of exciting battery news.

And GM is planning to catch-up in four years to where Tesla is now, building its own battery supply chain.  So things are expanding, finally.

400 cycles might be alot for an RC car, but it's pretty poor for a phone, laptop, or  vehicle.

Aye, buggered after just a couple of years... won't be popular.
