Title: Zero SRS self discharging from 60% to 52% in one week!
Post by: GeneralSP on December 07, 2020, 05:14:06 AM
Hi folks, like the title, is this normal if the charge drop all the time when I charge it to 60% and drop to arround 52% after one week?
I put it on the Storage mode, same thing. I tried many time to rise the charge at 60% again and same thing.

I have a power tank and the storage temperatur is arround 0c.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

It sounds to be similar to mine (FXS 7.2 2020) with a discharge of 1% per day. My bike is currently with the dealer for troubleshooting. I would say bring it to the dealer. Let us know, how it goes.

My SR/F drops around 1% a week, I need to top it off a couple of times during the winter.  It's dropped from 50% around 11/1, to 45% last night.  Sounds like yours is dropping much faster.

Mine is stored in my basement at around 55 degrees f.

And SR/S really shouldn't lose a percent a day in the middle percents.  Those it wouldn't want to be turning on and off at that temperature.

Is it having trouble going to sleep or using the radio excessively?

Guys, your bike drop until empty? mine seems to stabilised when it reach 50%. I will confirm that soon. I have V18 Firmware, I'm not shur if I had this problem before update.

Crissa,

what do you mean about:  ( Those it wouldn't want to be turning on and off at that temperature.and Is it having trouble going to sleep or using the radio excessively? )
Sorry I'm not sure to understand.

Well, the F-platform bikes dial home with a cellular network connection.  Sometimes it's possible that the bike can be in such a position where it can hear the network, and the network can't hear it.  Like if it's parked in a basement or the edge of a cell zone.  It's an edge case.  But every time it wakes up it uses a little battery power to send its status so you can see it on the app.

Also, at 0C, the battery is particularly inefficient.

That's all.

I have just checked it on my SR/S. I have lost 8% in 6 weeks.

Just for comparison, I have a 2018 SR and as this is my first winter of ownership I thought I would check how the SOC is holding up.  It's been sat in may garage for 38 days.  When I parked it it had 51% of charge.  When I checked this morning it was still showing 51%.  Happy days!  ;D

I am having a similar experience with my 2018 S with PT.  When fully charged to 100% SOC it will drop to 99% within a day or two. After that the SOC remains stable. it has been holding at 72% for the past couple of weeks without any changes.  :)
