Since we're in a 'Public Safety Power Shutoff' and despite conditions clearing up this afternoon, there was still no power at home. There's also nowhere to hangout or movies to watch. So after today's ride...
...I plugged my bike into the generator while I was running it to make dinner.
So tomorrow my bike will be propane powered!
My new cable reached the generator just fine, too.

Sort of related, I had the thought of mounting two of these like panniers to make a pseudo hybrid bike.

We had the shut off here in Auburn also. I actually had a good time staying here. It's the first time I did not head for Reno during such an outage. I kept busy. I stayed in my RV and ran temporary ham radio antennas and beside keeping busy with that, I still could get on-line with my laptop and cell service with my V W/L portable hotspot. My bikes were all fully charged by then, besides having three ICE bikes here with full tanks.
I have used my RV generator countless times to charge my bike during RV trips while boondocking, Not very efficient to charge a bike using gasoline, but it works. I charge it at only 2.1 KW or so, by adding only one Delta Q charger. That leaves me a power for other things such as charging the RV deep cycle batteries. It's a 4KW generator. If I disconnect the RV and only use the Generator, than I charge the Zero at 3KW by adding in another Delta-Q, which is a more efficient use of the gasoline.
BTW, all my computer stuff here is on a UPS, including the cable modem and router, security cameras and such. But it did no good because Sudden Link (the cable company here) went down and they have no backup. But cell service does have backup, so I could use my V W/L Hotspot and still get on line.

Yeah, Sunday night we had no network, no reliable cell service, either. xFinity died upstream, and the cell site was straight up down. So it didn't matter that the network had backups in my neighborhood.

My daughter told me that her power came back on around 11am today. She lives in Marin County. I heard on the radio that in Marin, Comcast internet shut down in areas where the PG&E power had been turned off due to potential fire hazards from their equipment. Apparently Comcast has no backup power in that county. :(

You will need to have two chargers to do that!
Or find a way to keep both AC generators exactly in phase with each other.
If you have them both converted to DC first then there is still an issue.
Is your plan to use the OBC and a DeltaQ? But now a different problem. They each draw more than 700 watts AC input.
So I am curious what your plan was. I see no way to do it.

Comcast actually failed upstream, so I have no idea what's wrong. They're blaming it on the power outage, but they failed again a half hour after the power came back on, and have yet to come back, three hours later.

Well that sucks, especially for anyone needing internet access to take their school or college classes or for someone that needs that access to do their job. :(

It wasn't something I was actually planning to do, just a thought of something that might be cool.
However, here's a 1500w model that would probably do the job and wouldn't be too difficult to carry on the bike. I've also seen a 2000W model on Ebay of similar size.

Even if so, it will take around 770 watts AC to get 700 watts DC from the charger at 120 VAC. Slightly better if a 240 VAC generator is used, but you will never get 100% efficiency.

The small generator is 230V and peaks at 780W.
