I park my bike in a shed and I move my left hand mirror each time to back in.
The mirror is now getting loose so it wont stick in one position.
Its the ball on the end of the mirror that's loose, but I cant see how to tighten it up.
Anybody any ideas?

I think on my SR you pulled on the mirror while spinning it to tighten the ball joint.

If it’s the same as my 2016 DSR (I think it is) then the spring that provides proper tension on the rotating joint needs additional pre-tension via its nut but that would require removal of glass (not sure you would be successful in getting it out/back in) or carefully cutting a slot in the front or bottom side to allow access for a wrench.
Also it’s possible the pivot joint may have suffered sufficient wear that will require replacement.
You might consider folding mirrors (I replaced mine with this type which really helps in lane splitting situations).

There is a ball and socket joint that allows the mirror section to rotate in the stem section. The joint is preloaded by a spring (also inside the mirror section).
If the adjusted position does not hold, the socket has been damaged. The glass mirror is sonically welded or glued in place (to prevent water from getting in), the bond is stronger than the piece of mirrored glass so removal without damage is very unlikely.
Would suggest just picking up a new mirror. Because most scooters also use the same style of thread in mirrors you find tons of low cost options.
As a temporary solution you can wrap some tape or string around the joint to provide a bit of resistance from droop.

The Zero mirrors aren't very expensive. Cost almost as much to ship it.
