What did you think? I skipped forward a lot but note the following.
The electric motorcycle isn't really going anywhere at this time until he gets funding. They are In the battery bicycle business until that happens.
The discussion about Alta was interesting. He even tried to get Harley to make similar many years prior. There just were not the buyers for the Alta which is what I seemed to think just by how many listings for new on cycletrader.
It was an adventure touring site and he once mentioned two support trucks for electric bike and later on mentioned support helicopter so one can king of get an idea of his mind set about non urban battery bike.
He might have made a proto type range extender for Zero, would have to search out and replay that part.

It should be illegal to take pre-orders for a product that isn't being actively developed or isn't financially viable. I wonder what he's doing with that $500 that's supposed to go towards every Flow.

Hiring engineers?

Well from what Fran said it sounds like he's not really putting any effort into it until he gets major funding (he's probably got less than a year's wages for an engineer from pre-orders). Also with the way they're trying to sell the bike it makes it seem like they already have a product to sale with some detailed specs and a final price.

He had actually developed a hybrid scooter for HERO in India. The engine just drove a generator that recharged the batteries. All the motive force came from the electric motors. I don't know if HERO ever built it, though. It was an interesting design and a scooter's body style would have more room for something like that than a motorcycle. In most scooters that space is storage area, but I can see it making room for batteries and a small ICE. The BMW eScooter has about a THIRD of the storage capacity of their ICE scooters to make room for the battery and charging system, for instance.
