I came across a web page awhile back while doing some research and found out that the first EV's were actually motorcycles... that got around 75 miles of range (at 25mph) with lead-acid batteries.
For the life of me I cannot find the website. I don't remember if it was a history of EV's in general or just electric motorcycles. Edit: Nevermind, I guess my search skills were just intermittent.
