Cool, thanks for the video!  8)
Enthusiatic but not too enthusiastic, comparing the bike with others from different corners.
Many questions still remain to be answered. The future stays interesting.

Well, at least Lightning has two Strikes that run.  Thanks for the video.  Did Richard provide any information regarding deliveries to pre-order customers?

At least 2 on video.  I saw quite a few more at the shop and he turned one of them on to show that it had the 20kWh pack, in case people thought those didn't exist.  No word on deliveries.  I think it's a slow process, so we'll have to wait and see how it goes.

Can you show us? What was the proof?

Were you able to see if any of the Strikes were production models or were they all prototypes?

I conveniently don't have photos, because I'm a Lightning shill  ;D  But it showed 295V on the cycle analyst, so I had no reason to doubt it.

I saw a lot of Strikes there, but I'm not sure how to tell if they had a bunch of production bikes or a bunch of prototype bikes.  They all looked the same.  I just know that the blue one was a prototype and the white one was a production bike.

We love you anyway. But voltage does not indicate pack capacity. Could have been a 10kWh pack series-ed up.

Great video man as always.  I have to say I was surprised the bike fit you so well.  The early videos made it seem like a very small bike.

I wish this could have made me feel more confident about Lightning but Richard still does things so strangely.
Your clearly a very interested potential customer so why in the world would he put you on a prototype, while he rides the production model?
The lighter weight of the bike that you enjoyed will be much more R1000 with a 20kWh battery.  Also what's with the high end parts on the small battery bike?  I didn't think that was even an option they offered.

It's like being told you can go on a date with Miss America and when you get there it's just a girl she went to school with.  Sigh.
I'll still keep hoping for the best for you.

Can't wait for the LS218 video.  I hope he let you just go ride it and let you really get a feel for it.

Nah I only rode the blue one, their demo bike.  Richard rode the white one.

That could have a myriad of reasons. Maybe the production bike could still have some bugs they did not want you to experience during the ride that could put you in an unsafe situation.

Anyway, thank you for your video, you are one of the main reasons I actually bought myself a Zero S after dreaming about it for 7 years. So this Lightning video is great to see :), I can imagine that the CEO is glad with the coverage too but I found it weird he didn't say anything on camera. He must be aware of all the "Lightning is a scam" talk. Why didn't he take a moment to say something about it on camera?

Thanks!  That means a lot, and thanks for going electric!  ;D

Honestly I didn't shoot video of a lot of our conversations because it's all been said before.  Richard has repeated the same stuff so much that it doesn't feel natural.  It took a while to get past the scripted responses and chat with him like a normal dude, and it was great to hear his thoughts on communicating with the world.  He admits he isn't good at PR, and isn't sure how much info to share.  Also a lot of what we talked about is top secret stuff that I can't even share haha.  I have some video of him talking in the LS218 video, but still not much.

Just saw your LS218 video :) That sure looked like a fun day!
He comes across as very timid and totally not "salespersony" in that interaction. I like that.
In the end all we can do is wait and see I guess. Building/producing stuff is already a very hard part of the equation, marketing, selling, supporting/servicing, etc. pfiewww...
But I am glad the bike designs they have are solid (sad the Strike doesn't have ABS though, so no EU version).

And again I appreciate all of the work you put in your videos!
