Why is the accessory battery's voltage important enough to be under the speedo?

I am told that with the AIM Dash is an accessory from the owner. Without it there does not appear to be any possible way to monitor voltage or SoC.

The blue screenshot with the speedo was an optional item?

As I understand it that is one of nearly infinite possibilities to set on a production model.

Looks like Sam from New Zeroland got to ride a Strike and he's a happy boy. He has video to edit and release after he's back home next week.

So... almost entire YEAR after it was announced?  That's why I believe Zero will actually have something people can order and read about on the 24 of February THIS year...

Check it out when on someone's computer  that uses facebook.  This Sam Baker  joined 7 months ago and is now a moderator.  Note one administrator same as on Zero owners group. Check out the lack of pictures of owner's stuff.

Sam Baker has a YouTube channel called NewZeroLand about mostly Zero stuff but he's been pining for a Lightning Strike for longer than that: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdEMqkiM5I-98gxZKJXQ65Q

I've met him. I don't think he's messing with us, although special access on Lightning's part is one way to perform PR. I wish they'd engage in a wider variety of efforts.

The thing that jumped out at me was the two battery voltages mentioned: 150 VDC and 300 VDC. That would splain why CCS charging is available on the upgraded models but not on the base model....and that it can't be retrofitted to the base model. That's critical information to many potential customers.

Scroll back a page. I literally go into a discussion about exactly this. Lightning insists that it can upgrade that for a mere $1500:

Oh hey!  Yep, that's me.  Richard took me on a test ride and allowed me to shoot video of it (I've started editing but it'll take a while to make it fancy).  I've heard they do test rides every Friday, so if you're interested, call them up to book one.

I was very impressed with the build quality and performance, even on the demo bike (something they use for testing) and even with the lower power.  For a small company like this to bring out something that fills the gap between Zero and Energica so perfectly, I think they're worth supporting.

I can't speak to the number of deliveries or where all the owners are, though.  Hopefully some of them share photos or ride stories soon!

I would love to test ride a Strike but not willing to fly from North Carolina to California to do it. My Zero/Energica dealer contacted Richard about becoming a Lightning dealer and never got a response. Too bad Lightning doesn't want dealers to sell their bikes.
