Yeah, the manual for all Zeros state always park facing uphill.

The problem with parking your Zero facing downhill is that it is more likely to roll off the side stand and fall over if the slope is too steep, since it doesn't have a brake lock to prevent the movement.  When parking facing up hill, the friction of the side stand helps to keep the bike from rolling backwards, although it will do so if the slope is too steep. When in doubt, block the rear wheel or use a front brake lever lock.   ;)

I just expect it will fall over in a quake and hope I'm not in a hilly spot when that happens lest I have to hunt my bike down after it rolls away.
