National Drive Electric Week, September 14-22, 2019, is a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today's widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. They are fun to drive, are less expensive and more convenient to fuel than gasoline vehicles, are better for the environment, promote local jobs, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Are you considering going electric? Come talk to owners who have successfully done so.

2018 was 98 Zeros and 2017 was 93!  This might be the year with more than 100 Zeros?

I'll be attending the events in Exeter NH and Portsmouth NH with my SR/F (on the 15th and 22nd respectively).  My wife will be bringing the Honda Clarity PHEV (great car).

Yesterday I received a message from the San Francisco NDEW organizer that their event, for which I am registered to display my Zero, has had so many requests for entry of automobiles that they are having to limit the length of display times and they are warning that people showing up to display their EVs may be turned away due to the site's parking lot not being large enough to accommodate all of the entry requests.  Kind of makes me wonder where the visitors who are supposed to be checking out the EVs will park?  This could end up being a typical SF mob scene.

Two down, one to go.  Portsmouth NH this Saturday.  Exeter NH and Kitter ME were cool last Saturday and Sunday.

Anyone else up for a visit to downtown Portsmouth?  We'll be in the Bridge Street Parking lot from 9-12.

It was good meeting you Jaime.  Please keep me in the loop if you hear of events like this.  It was fun.  I may end up swinging by the classic car show Saturday at Tobay beach.

On a (4-wheeled) road trip coast-to-coast USA. Tried the Zero dealer in Chicago today to show my old friend in town there an EV moto but they had no Zero there to demo or even look at. Got them on a Tesla Model X test ride which was super easy to set up - wish Zero was that easy to get a test ride for. Happen to be in Portage IN tomorrow 9/19 so will show off the car (off-road Model 3). Notably there's no Reno NV event listed this year maybe due to the newest sponsoring organizer not able to elect a replacement and unable to fulfill the requirements.

So... if you're near Chicago and can get over to Portage IN tomorrow 9/19 I'll be there. Would be really fun to see some EV moto types. There's two free use 40A L2 stations real close by.

Also I'll probably check out the 9/22 NDEW in State College PA.

...You're still the only Zero registered.  They should bump a duplicate Leaf or something.  Sheesh

Hope you have fun.  I'll make it as far as... San Jose.  I have prior engagements.  But this will be my first time riding somewhere I have to charge to get back from!
