Honda electric motocross prototype
« on: March 22, 2019, 07:40:49 PM »

Honda puts their toe into the electric motorcycle market waters again.  As usual, little late to the game, it seems to me. Looks nice, but will it sell?:  https://electricmotorcycles.news/honda-unveils-a-new-electric-cr-motorcross-prototype-at-the-tokyo-motorcycle-show-in-japan/

I would buy one of those.  As for late to the game, there really isn't a class for these things.  I suppose in off road one could enter senior or something like.

My guess is that Honda will market the bike in Japan for use on urban dirt race tracks where an ICE-powered motocrosser would not be appreciated by the local residents.  I would be surprised if we see it sold in the U.S. any time soon.  ???

If it doesn't move it doesn't exist!

You have a point.  More than one concept vehicle has never been seen in the wild.  My comment would be that if it is never marketed for sale to the public then it didn't really exist.   ;)

I would buy one.  Was gonna buy an Alta because it seemed to be designed better than my Zero FX for dirt (trail riding, single-track type).  This could take its place.

I think this may have been at least one nail in their coffin.  But the Alta seems much more powerful.  It could catch some air on those ramps and not just crawl over the hills.  Maybe they were holding back for a first demo?

Does it come with a Honda factory-accessory umbrella to keep the rain off of the bike and rider?   ;)
The umbrella is only available as seen English language.  The suspension seems way too soft for the application.

What is your selling price? I like it. Kindly tell me.

I don't think Honda is marketing their electric motocross model for sale to the public yet. It is still a work-in-progress prototype.

I'm pretty sure this guy is some sort of scambot. We are watching him for more comments that seem like questions but are irrelevant. It may also be an English-as-a-second-language issue.
