I'm getting ready to install the PowerMadd Sentinel black-on-black with the Mirror and 7/8 mount kits, but am having to change the handlebars to do so.

I wish I’d seen this post last week. I ordered that same exact model of handguard  from Amazon. Arrived yesterday, and tonight was when I found out that they won’t work at all. I can appreciate that everyone is praising the barbuster Storm, but I just can’t see spending over $100 for a wind protection handguard. I feel like there has to be a cheaper solution - especially since the Hanperal and Storm and pretty much every other model all seem to specify installation on 7/8” bars. Why does the Storm work when the Hanperal doesn’t?

I ended up just upgrading since a local guy was selling a 16 SR with a bigger battery than my 14SR at a good price, nicely kitted out.

I don't know what brand handguards I have, but they attach at bar end and have lights for improved visibility.

I gotta say, I've seen those on bikes and really like them - they make the bike bigger and easier to see from the side.

Yeah, and having had a couple low speed impacts in SF, we're somebody turned in front of me and I slammed on the brakes but didn't quite stop in time, I think the issue of car drivers seeing you and being able to judge your distance from front+side is very important.
