I forgot to mention the top speed, I have never had my SR to top speed so 164 km/h or 200 km/h makes no difference to me. But I often get the throttle twist maxed out so extra torque is great.

It is nice.  But to have to wait tell fall for a power tank that is probably 3.6 kWh is a no go for me.  I well stick with my 19 SR with power tank.

All in all I think that Zero did very well....  BUT why does the battery pack have to look like a Borg cube !!!!  Gasoline fits into very nice shapes other than squares, so can battery cells....  Aero should be important on any EV....  Last gripe, hate the squirrel catcher fender, flavor of the month....

Seems like a slam dunk to me. Compared to the competition the specs for pricing is fine.

Being able to charge in an hour with level 2 charging is even better than l3 in my eyes. Only 15 minutes longer than the Harley level 3 but you can actually use level 2 stations at full power. Much better solution.

As always, would've liked to see more range, but we'll just keep seeing incremental upgrades in range every year. Zero already has much better range than the competition at a lower price point so complaining about range seems kinda silly at this point.

The whole package looks great. All the right upgrades in a great looking modern redesign. Really looks like it's own bike where the earlier zeroes looked more like cheap parts from other bikes cobbled together.

I gotta say I'm saddened at the lack of DC fast charging, but very impressed with everything else. Traction control with different modes, an actual 12v battery, constantly connected over the internet with the ability to monitor and control it through your phone app, dual front disc brakes, proper air flow for cooling the motor and controller. There are some huge changes here and nothing but improvements all around.

I have been holding out for the right bike with DC charging, but this one is extremely tempting.

Gosh, I have so much to say. Basically Zero outdid my wildest expectations in both features and price. They listened and checked off a great number of wish-list items. Faster charge, TC, charging schedules, SOC limits, custom modes, LED headlights, dual rotors, >100hp, >100mph, design for cooling, charge station finder, etc. And with real availability in Spring. Reporting of lean angle? Really, how?

I never imagined they'd have always-on cellular like the much more expensive Livewire. And the big color display to go with it. Since there's GPS and cellular, there could be NAV, and if not already, that could be added via software updates. Hopefully the clock sets itself! Remote diag saving dealer trips. Now if it just had the keyless fob, it would round out like a Tesla (but with the 12V battery it should be fairly easy to add for $25)!

Royal red happens to be my favorite color, same as both my car and truck. But I'll probably want the green-ish color for a change. And the Premium for sure, with the bigger charger, fly screen, and heated grips. I sort of expect that the first model year will not be entirely trouble-free, but my dealer SJ BMW was great about things last time around. I predict most of the issues will be in the software and fixed through updates.

Seems a good model to tell the market that they can beat Harley. But at that price with such a limited range, as well as the risk associated with a new bike with a limited used market (ie you buy but can't resell) how many models will they sell ? Maybe not so many...

I have access to a wall outlet in the garage at work.
Does the SR/F charge from this directly or do I need an adapter to go to the J1772?

Hey I was pretty close with what I surmised back in January. Although the extra battery capacity is an option. Yay me

It needs an adapter but they give you one when you buy the bike.

I guess we now wait on news from Lightning, but I'm expecting their premium Strike, which will be released first, will have significantly higher specs than the SR/F but will come with a significantly higher price as well.  The base model, which we don't have any idea on when will be made, will clearly be much cheaper than the SR/F but what will its specifications be?  At $12,998 it may undercut the Zero SR significantly, but I doubt its specs will match the SR/F.  In the end, the Strike and SR/F may not end up as being true competitors at all as the SR/F might slide in right between the Strike base and the premium.  The different options/levels that Lightning offers between the base and the premium, if any, could be interesting.

Haha, cylindrical cells might be made into hexagonal or triangular packs nicely (storm einhoven, anybody?) but flat rectangular cells with maximum density, not so much.

I would be extremely surprised if the base model outperforms an SR, definitely not an SRF. I dont see any chance a manufacturer with less volume than zero able to produce bikes at a better performance per dollar ratio.
