DigiNow Indiegogo
« on: November 29, 2018, 08:21:10 AM »

Hey guys,

As many of you may be aware, we are doing daily updates on our current backlog of chargers and how we are moving through them and getting them shipped out.

Well, with the accident and my broken spine this is harder than ever to do for us, but our chargers are more popular than ever as well. It is a bitter sweet situation, but I think we have found a solution to solve this in the future. All of our vendors in China have really stepped up and have even started working together on our behalf since my accident. Many of the engineers even installed VPNs and got facebook and instagram accounts to follow my recovery. Their help has been touching! Well, between them they have offered to work in a shared facility with us so that we can offload a lot of the work that has been done here during our R&D phase to a properly fitted factory with experienced employees. Really we couldn't have asked for a better solution to the demand.

If you or anyone you know would consider supporting our indiegogo so that we can get moved in and producing chargers faster, I would be eternally greatful. I believe every supporter of our indiegogo can count themselves as a part of revolutionizing transportation as we know it, especially shaking up the EV industry!

I'm already supplied in the charging department but I can't say no to stickers!

I really want to thank everyone for their awesome support! This is going well so far. I would like to ask if there are any changes you guys see I should make, or any extra perks you would like to see? And also please share with everyone, even just the sticker sales help us so much!

Best!!

Brandon

Brandon,
I got a sticker since I always want more of those.  I was thinking of the DIY Tesla Inlet and wasn't sure what it was.  My best guess is it's the Tesla end of a Tesla-to-{J1772 or whatever} adapter?  Understood on the DIY part.

Yeah you more or less got the gist of it. Happy Tesla-ing!

Just curious, why did you opt for the flexible goal?

In the instance the we are unable to find the support we need for the shared chinese facility, we will still deliver the chargers required.

We have a couple of backup plans for manufacturing at a reduced price here in the states.

If we meet our goal, the price will stay the same for production as the indiegogo, if not, the price will go back up because of the extra overhead of doing it at a production facility here in the states.

Ah that way. I'm asking because normally flexible goal+electronic product+indigogo raises red flags with a lot of people, there have been a lot of scam campaigns that claimed fantastic products without intent to ever deliver and just piss the money away.

This is my first time doing an indiegogo, I have a LOT to learn about it. None of us here really knew how to best build the campaign there. Thank you for telling me about this as it makes a lot of sense!

Despite using the worst month of the year to ask for money :P you got another pledge from me.. Your roadmap fits well with my plans to order a Zero for summerseason of 2019..
I'm thinking i'd do the install as the first thing after having taken delivery on the bike and driven it home..
Am i correct in thinking that the cable harness will accomodate the possibility to mount the Type2 inlet on the front as seen in the video?

Yep, there should be enough cable to route that way, if not, we use andersons and can make an extension for you.

Yes It can be hard to do al the stupid marketing stuff when you just want to make cool products. Morgan's mailbox must be exploding with dubious offers from companies that would love to help to promote your campaign(for a hefty fee).

If you ever have half an hour to spare you should watch this:
It's a bit sarcastic and over the top but also a pretty funny dig in the whole robot+indigogo thing.

I also have Paburonn for you here at the shop. Its a japanese medicine, from the time of the samurai... or possibly not.

12 hours left on the indiegogo... anyone who wants to get on the discount should jump on it now.

Best,

Brandon
