I've had my jDaptor stub just about from the week it launched (which, IIRC, was before the TeslaTap - but it's all the same stuff). I've used it about thee times, and the Tesla charger faulted during one charge on a road trip (at the time, I thought the Zero had another failed charger). I've run into lots of Gen2 units with the "tesla handshake required" switch turned on (allegedly, from Tesla store reps, they ship from the factory with this turned off). You need an allen key to open the cover and throw the switch. I may try the wait 1 minute from attaching the adapter before connecting to the bike, but generally, once attached to the bike (or car) the Tesla unit shows a red light (error) and just does nothing. UMC and Gen1 work fine.
