Energica/Samsung Bolid-E Smart Ride
« on: October 31, 2018, 07:46:32 PM »

You have to be pretty smart to understand this press release.  After reading the entire article I think Energica has managed to pair their electric motorcycle with the Samsung Galaxy Smart Watch. However, I am not sure why you would want to look at your Samsung Galaxy Smart Watch while you were riding your Energica Bolid-E Speed Machine.  ::) That doesn't sound very smart to me   :o  :  https://electricmotorcycles.news/samsung-and-energica-present-a-completely-new-driving-experience/

Energica announced some great updates for 2019, but this prototype with two smartphones bolted next to the existing dash, looks really, ehhmm....not what I would expect from a seamless integration, to put it mildly.  According to the promotional video, you can skip the gloves  so looking at the watch is no issue :P .

For what it's worth, I use my Apple Watch to navigate on my motorcycle, but my Zero is not involved and the watch only taps my wrist in patterns to tell me when to turn left or right.

Not to hijack the string, but I've been using Google maps over my Senna bluetooth helmet module for a year or more with no problems whatsoever. I get to listen to my tunes, too. Voice command even works great ("Okay, Google, call Jessica").
