The zero website is live with the new colors and promo stuff, and there's a new 2019 launch videos too.

The new colors look nice, but it seems like it's still the same 2013 platform with no significant changes. The FXS looks like it might have slightly different shape to the body panels.

Yeah, I'm glad I didn't wait.  Although it would've been nice to have the larger battery (14.4 vs 13.0) for the same price, I am NOT a fan of black motorcycles.  They're hard enough as it is to see in traffic, so why make them even HARDER to see?

I see they've made the Charge Tank a dealer installed option again.  Although they don't mention it on the website, I'm hoping that means if I decide I want a Charge Tank after all, I can get one installed on my new 2018 S.

Nothing else earth shattering, which is pretty much what I expected.

I, for one, am fine with a "Bold New Graphics" update.  The bikes are great when they work, which is the majority of the time.  If they improve reliability and customer service through the dealer network, that's a win for me.
Owners manuals are not yet posted.  It's possible that some minor tweaks that we've been asking for have been added, but time will tell.  The real question is how long can we hold out until someone posts a What do we want for 2020 thread?

What do we want for 2020 thread?

Cruise Control.

I've had that since my 2016 model.  Before I hit the highway, I put it in "Eco" mode, whack the throttle wide open, and cruise at a nice, steady 70mph.  That's all I need.  I should get a Throttlemeister bar end grip to hold it there but it's not like I take long trips with this thing so it's not a big deal.

At the risk of beating a dead horse, that plan works great until you are cruising at 70 and need to get out of the way of someone that doesn't see you.  Brakes and steering still work, but having another option to power out of a bad situation is something I want to retain.
Purely for personal preference, I don't use cruise control.  I can see how some people would want it, and it seems to fall under the category of things that would be super simple to program/implement.  Maybe there's a legal or administrative hoop that needs to be jumped through for it.

Yeah, no major changes it seems. Still the small frame, still 100v battery pack incompatible with DC charging stations. Also carrying capacity is not in the spec sheet.

Well said.  I was just starting to warm up my whipping arm to resume beating.

"power out of a situation."

I've been riding since 1982 and have nearly one million miles under my belt (as well as a 400,000 mile award from BMW).  I have NEVER gotten into a situation I couldn't get out of using the brakes and steering.  Maybe you need to work on your situational awareness?

It does seem like Zero is still taking "baby steps" every new model year.  I guess that is because (as indicated in their new model press release) they are pretty much the only game in town in their performance and price range - and likely to stay that way for at least a few more years: https://electricmotorcycles.news/zero-motorcycles-introduces-their-2019-range-electric-motorcycles/

In addition to the updates and new colors (and I agree about not wanting to ride an all black motorcycle) mentioned, I would have liked to have the press release say that reliability, servicing, dealer communication and parts availability improvements have been implemented.  ;)  Also, while it is nice to see the fully-farkled Black Forest edition, Zero should have also provided information on their new after-sales accessory line (besides the charge tank), which hopefully includes all of the stuff installed on the Black Forest model.

I was lurking on these forums waiting for the 2019 as I'm going to get my motorbike driving license soon, can anyone explain if there's any difference between the 2019 SR or not ?

Everyone could have better situational awareness.  I will repeat what I just posted : " Brakes and steering still work, but having another option to power out of a bad situation is something I want to retain."  I did not say that I have ever been in a situation where powering out was my ONLY option.  I'm not going to purposely restrict the capability of the bike and therefore my ability to react in exchange for a minor reduction in attention required to my speed and the position of my right wrist.  I would not recommend your method of cruise control to anyone, but I will also not tell you or anyone not to do it.

I'm disappointed, was hoping for more progress.
Offer traction control and I am in. New bike sold on the spot.
Add cruise control, even better.

Regarding Custom mode settings as de facto cruise control... couldn't you just hit the Mode button to jump straight to Sport mode, if you had a sudden need?
