Fly Free Smart Motorcycles Scrambler

Yup. Another low-power electric motorcycle concept asking for donations. Interestingly, the battery life is given as 70% after 700 cycles. That is about the lowest life in a lithium vehicle battery I have seen mentioned yet. I wonder what this part means:

"The Smarts will have 2 settings: one with 50 mile range reaching the top speed of 40 miles per hour and the other one with 100 mile range that can reach the maximum speed of 50 miles per hour."

The way that is worded, it sounds to me like it says it gets a better range at a faster speed.

I would like to see a few other specs on that bike, such as its weight and if the battery can be removed.

The article did mention that the batteries are (or will be) replaceable some day in the future. Which is likely a good idea if they drop to 70% capacity in only 700 recharges. It looks to me like this is another big idea that someone has and they are just trolling for dollars to build something that will fulfill their vision. There are a lot of city electric scooters and small motorcycles that are already sold in China - such as the new CSC Motorcycle company import. Why reinvent the wheel for something that is an urban trawler? What we need in the U.S. is another full-power, freeway-legal, motorcycle that we can use to get from here to there - and actually buy for a reasonable price. Right now, all I am seeing is the Zero and the BMW C-Evolution, with Energica for the wealthy, Alta playing in the dirt and H-D making promises that they might or might not keep. (But that does make good press for H-D for a few days.)
