Just so you guys know, I got on it again and rode around the block, I still get it so it's not riding fatigue or lower extremity issues.  I know what they can feel like from long 100+ mile rides on my pedal bikes in the past.

Easy peasy, have someone else have a ride and hear what they say.

Please fix the thread title so I can link to it from the manual without it causing serious safety concerns.

As has been pointed out, to really get electrified/shocked you need to close a circuit. So it should not be limited to the leg only. And to feel any current through heavy duty motorcycle boots, the voltage has to be substantial. Unusual riding position could lead to a pinched nerve after a while riding. Sherlock Holmes could probably point right to the cause, but I cannot. All I can advice is to check the motorcycle thoroughly, and if you know someone with similar bike to switch bikes for a while.

Just so we’re clear, your bike is under warranty and your dealer should fix it at Zero’s expense.

That said, go look for the grounding straps and see whether they’re making contact. You might save a lot of time if it’s an easy obvious fix like using a zip tie or something.

And do it while the bike is off.

Would it be feasible for the OP to video a meter picking up current from the foot peg?

I really like that idea! I would volunteer for that ride!

Okay. Renamed to "Electric shock from footpegs?".  Was "Electrocution?".

I appreciate that. Much more accurate and easier to understand from the title.

Very sorry to hear this issue outch!

The question is: are you the only one to feel that kind of electric shock on your Zero?

If yes then it sem it is more related to you.. if not.. it could be more related to the Zero ???

Has anyone else ridden this thing yet? I'm curious, this is crazy if it's the bike...

OP,

Where are you located?  The way you describe this sounds very repeatable. I'd be interested to test ride your bike and experience it for myself if you're nearby and would let me.

  Do you have a multimeter?

Have you talked to your local Zero dealer?

The charge could be due to induction, particularly if one of the grounding straps isn’t fully in contact with the frame.

The relevant strap should be against the swingarm. There’s another near the doghouse.

The footpeg asymmetry may just be a matter of how it makes frame contact.

What do these straps look like?  Can anyone post a pic by chance?

There are two notable straps.

Both look like flat braided metal strips or ribbons.

Like I said before on this thread,  I really doubt this story.
A newbie posting an electrifying story, and others jumping his (fossil?) gun...
