Would like to see E-Bike like the 390 Duke.
« on: August 22, 2018, 07:48:37 AM »

I would like to see a KTM E-Bike like the 390 Duke with a 50 mile+ range.

Any update on the one pictured in the old cyclenews article?

I hope some real motorcycle companies come out with something SOON.

Unfortunately, I don't think you are going to see any of the major brands introducing electric motorcycles into their showrooms anytime soon until the market grows a lot larger.  Right now BMW has their scooter, which is selling reasonably well in Europe, but not in the U.S. and I bet they are loosing money on each sale. The KTM Freeride doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast. And H-D says they will introduce an electric motorcycle next year, but I bet they will screw that up and their dealers will give it the kiss of death.  They have a history of doing stuff like that and H-D is nothing if not a believer in doing things the old way.  ::)
