Well, that is positive news.  :)  Now all BMW needs to do is to build and market a full-size, high performance, electric motorcycle, in addition to the scooter.

I actually saw one "in the wild" on Friday on the streets of San Francisco.

I probably have the only one in Washington State.  Had it almost a month and have 750+ miles on it. I think it is awesome; way exceeds my expectations.

Mods: Why is the C Evolution topic buried in a general thread? As one of the few actually available, mass produced EV bikes on the market you would think it would rate it's own thread and increase it's chances of getting some traffic.

Thanks

Probably because when the forum motorcycle brand sections were established some years ago, BMW must have just stayed on the cutting room floor.  But looking back, I bet you could pick out a few brands on the list that should have been left behind instead of BMW. And so it goes with the electric motorcycle/scooter industry.  ;) It is hard to predict which ones will be commercially sucessiful.  ??? But I will agree that BMW should have probably made the cut, although you would have thought that they would have at least made an electric motorcycle by now.   ???

However, I agree that the forum could probably use a little brand section cleanup by now.  :)

Admin:

please create forums for BMW motorcycles (yes c-evo is classified as a motorcycle by all regulators)

Also, please create Lightning and Sarolea forums.  I imaging some of the existing forums might be better moved into a "former" or "ceased production" category, like Mission and Alta (sorry, too soon?).

Well, it could be my lack of observation, but it sure seems like BMWNA (at least) is not exactly promoting the C-Evolution in the U.S. market. I have yet to see an ad, in a magazine or on the internet, for the BMW scooter. My BMW/Vespa/Energica dealer usually has at least one C-evolution scooter gathering dust in a corner of their showroom, but it is hard to tell if it has ever moved and it seems to me like BMW just is not all that interested in selling them. Meanwhile, the Energicas seem to be selling steadily at the shop to the tune of something like 15 units a year, while the BMW ICE GS models, which sell for much more than the scooter, go flying out the door. And so it goes in high-tech Silicon Valley.   ???

In France they're selling 5 to 10 times more than Zero. Probably even higher in Germany. There is a strong used market too, and reviews on quality and battery life are great.

My BMW dealer just sent me an email informing me of the 25 new 2018 motorcycles that they have available for immediate sale and need to unload.  One was said to be a 2018 BMW Cevo electric scooter.  That was a new one on me.  ??? Has anyone else heard of this model?  The last time I visited the showroom about a month ago I didn't notice anything unusual, other than the 2019 models and a single C-Evolution scooter.

So what they have available for sale is the C-Evolution scooter that has been gathering dust in their showroom for the past 6 months and whomever posted that model in the email that I received was trying to abbreviate its name and instead cause me to be confused?   ???
