« on: June 06, 2018, 06:15:37 PM »

That's the 120mph lap time barrier breached, with a top speed 170.9 through Sulby Speed Trap

1. Michael Rutter - Mugen - 121.824 mph lap (New  TT Zero Lap record)
2. Daley Mathison - Uon - 119.294mph
3. Lee Johnson - Mugen - 105.566mph, (Would have won, but the chain came off!)
4. James Cowten - Brunel BX-15 - 97.372
5. Adam Child - 2017 Moto Corsa Energica Ego - 81.332mph
6. Shaun Anderson - 2014 Brammo Empulse R - 74.789mph

Other runners
Ian Lougher - 2018 IDATEN X - Retired

Top congrats to University of Nottingham who's bike is now nearly as quick as the Mugens.

The all-time average speed is somewhere in the 134 mph range, isn't it?

Those last few mph are the tough ones, but really, not all that far off at this point.

Good showing for Mugen they seem to have the secret sauce.  Which is usually money.  :)
I was about to Google who this Uon company was, so thanks for saving me some rabbit hole digging.

Not bad for someone not coming to the party until it had already been going on for a Century.

Mugen's secret sauce is money and (from what I've heard) having consulted with a certain high performance defunct electric motorcycle manufacturing startup's engineers and then ditched them.

By all accounts they have recently been crawling all over Energia's Ego as well.
