ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE ELIGIBILITY FOR LORETTA LYNN'S

Cliffs: after talking with the oem's that help set the rules no electric motorcycles will be allowed. This is a race that allows an Open Class of any displacement.

I bet they won't allow gas turbine or hydrogen-powered motorcycles at their races, either.    :o  Loosers!   :P

Lots more discussion about not allowing electric motorcycles, such as Alta, into motocross racing in this article. It appears that MX Sports is just afraid that they don't understand electric motorcycles and are concerned that they might obtain an unfair advantage if they are allowed to race. It sounds to me like they believe that if the race organization doesn't allow electrics to race, they will just go away and they won't have to think about it any more. https://www.revzilla.com/common-tread/electric-motorcycles-still-banned-from-the-top-level-of-amateur-motocross

I really wanted to see what people would do with the Alta... or someone with a modded FX.
