TailG Nwow M3. 60v 1500w 32Ah Eco/Turbo mode?
« on: March 17, 2018, 11:26:14 PM »

I have an E-Grom  Sold here in the Philippines under the TailG/ Nwow Branding.

Specs are:
60v     1500w Hub motor and Controller
32 Ah   Lead Acid  Batteries.
60km\h Top speed
and around 90km Range.

Anyone have any experience with similar Ebikes?

My concern is that it doesn't have that quick and high torque acceleration even when twisting the throttle all out.
It gradually speeds up, its not bad , though it lacks the speed for maneuvering/ overtaking quickly.

I feel that it is stuck or set in Eco mode to preserve battery charge and that it may have a Sport mode feature tucked away.
There's no switch or toggle for Eco/Sport or Turbo mode.

But i found 3 disconnected connectors behind the headlight 1 male and 2 female, all 2 wire connectors,
and one of these maybe the Eco/sport mode switch along with the reverse or e-brake/regen brake switch.
Is there a safe way to test these connectors without damaging the controller ?

although I feel the  e-brake/regen brake engages when the break switches are toggled by the hand brake levers.

I havent opened the body to get to the controller but it seems generic and has no branding, only specs.
,  and i will also post pictures of the extra connectors when I get to open the head unit again.

Looks nice. But I am not a fan of lead acid when used to power any vehicle. Things get slow quickly.   ;)

yes true, we're just gonna wear out the stock batteries and upgrade it to lithium packs when it gives.
