FWG's cross the UK on one charge challange
« on: March 16, 2018, 11:15:43 PM »

First let me say I'm not urging anyone to give any money to this project. The fact that the video ends up being a funding/sales pitch isn't the point for me.  The company has carbon based batteries that they claim, and demonstrate, are a fix for some of the Li-ion issues.

I knew they were going to take a little Twizy through the UK but this was the first time I heard them say "without charging" which should be of interest for we small 2 wheeled EV guys.
Again just a heads up for what this company will try to do this summer as an area of interest.

I am conflicted. On the one hand are the words ''New Battery, Indigogo and flexible goal'' in the same sentence a massive red flag, and on their site there isn't that much info on the battery itself, on the other hand they seem to have fairly large YouTube channel and seem honest tinkerers.
Gonna check out a few of their more technical videos before I draw a conclusion...

My thoughts exactly.  There has been so much vaporware out there that this could be as well but he does demos and seems to truly be open to the idea of this might work or be better or worse lets just see.
But I've watched quite a few of his videos and it's always been like an open lab.  Only after they started getting some results that were promising did they get a little more guarded and start to offer a "product".

If they can get that thing to go the length of the UK on one charge though, I'm impressed.
