If I MUST charge at 110 volt, I use the heaviest and shortest cord I can find. It took some looking but found what
what I needed online. If you feel the cord at 240V it is barely warm to the touch. The same cord under 110 volt is quite hot.

I also normally use 240 VAC to charge with, but when I did charge with 120 VAC  I used these. They are often on sale and a lot cheaper and you can get them in different lengths.

Sometimes at home I charge my SR at 8.3KW. When I do, I use 120 VAC and 240 VAC at the same time, 120 VAC going to two Zero Delta-Q  chargers on separate lines, 240 VAC going to two 2.5 KW Elcons plus the on board. Everything stays reasonably cool.

If I have the Stock charger, and both externals, charging on 240V, it goes to around 5 KW. Works for me.
My 2016 has the 13 KW battery and barely made it from Vegas to Beatty. Now that my 2014 has a 14.4, and
a better windscreen, It SHOULD make the ride more easily. The ones in Tonopah and Hawthorne SHOULD make
it easier to travel to the north part of the state. Wish I had thought about this BEFORE getting cold. May still have
a week or three to check it out.

What are your external chargers? I ask because the on board is about 1.3KW, and the Zero Delta-Q chargers are about 1 KW, on either 120 VAC or 240 VAC. That would add up to around 3.3KW.

Since it got cold here, I am losing more than 20% of my range on my DS. Almost 25%, but hard to be sure if it's only temp and not other factors such as an increase in  headwinds. But the large loss in range has been in both directions. From my house here in Reno to my house in Cold Springs Valley, around 18 miles each way which I ride to every few days or so.
