I have an lightweight reflective cover I ride with.  Might be good for hot summers, keep the sun from hitting the black bits.

My rule of thumb: riding below 60 cools battery, 70+ heats it, and rapid charging plus rapid riding gets you stuck.  Ride slow for a bit before and after charging, and monitor the battery temp with the zero app or the diginow dongle + anton's app.

I have a cover for mine too. I take it off after a day of rain so the moisture doesn’t build up underneath it. As for the ride, that’s slow on the interstate. I normally do 80-90 without any issues most of the 35 mi trip to or from work without it registering any heat issues.

I have never had heat issues, even though I live in Vegas where it was close to 120 degrees this summer.
I did have similar charger issues where it stopped charging at 84% I believe. This happened two times
at the same outlet at the same charge level. The charger was replaced both times. After the second
charger was replaced, I checked voltage before and after plugging in the SR. 120 Volts before plugging
in, and it dropped to 92~93 volts. Charger is SUPPOSED to be good down to 85 I believe. Since you
mentioned issues at work with overloaded circuit, you might check once charger is replaced. I now carry
a Voltage meter with me and check whenever I plug into an unknown outlet. While waiting for Charger
to be replaced, I used a QuiQ. It would drop the voltage to 101~102. If I am going to be somewhere that
I am not sure about connection, I now bring that along.

Are your referring to the household 120 VAC voltage?  If so, did you measure at the socket before any extension cords, while under load of the charger?  It seems either your extension cord is way too thin or way too long, causing too much of an AC voltage drop under load of the charger.

The model 913-9600-01  (quick charger) is rated from 100-240 VAC input. I think the on-board charger is the same rating.

I'll look into that. Thanks.

I just looked at my QuiQ. I stand corrected. It does state a low end voltage of 100
My Apologies.
I have several Electric Vehicles some going as low as 85. I must have been thinking
of something else.

If your voltage is dropping that far, you are generating
heat somewhere in the chain, on too-thin wires or on poor
connections, please resolve those issues before you start a fire.

If it's not at the outlet or the extension cord, it may be that
the wiring in your walls is too thin.
