AIMExpo just about sold out
« on: August 01, 2017, 04:16:44 AM »

It looks like the AIMExpo is just about sold out and is expecting the highest number of exhibitors in the show's history. A wide range of OEM motorcycle manufacturers will be in attendance, however Zero is not mentioned in this blog as an exhibitor.  The show will occur at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Ohio, from September 21-24.

I'll be there!  I'll be in attendance in my official capacity as a Congress-Alternate in AMA District 34.  I've only attended AMA Congress once before when the primary was out of the country on vacation but this year we'll both be there.  I wasn't going to miss AIMExpo for two years in a row (I was on my way down to Orlando last year when Hurricane Matthew washed out I-95 between North and South Carolina and I had to turn back home).

I was on my gas-engine K1200LT.  Gotta use the right tool for the job.

The AIMExpo is kind of meh imo. Lots of big names aren't in attendance including Ducati, BMW, Triumph, Aprilia, etc. If you live relatively nearby, as I did when it was in Orlando, it's worth going, but nothing I would travel for.

Since this is an Electric Motorcycle Forum, I suspect most of you wouldn't care BUT the reason I'm going is that Yamaha will have their new Venture model available for demo rides at this year's AIMExpo.  Since Columbus is a LOT closer to me than Daytona Beach AND September is sooner than October I had to grab the opportunity.
