?? Electrathon 36 V. motor Anybody useing one?
« on: June 27, 2008, 06:58:35 AM »

Hey there fellow EV enthusiasts,
Has anybody had any experience with or information on the "Electrathon 36 volt dc motor"  There is a guy selling them on ebay and it looks like he has sold quite a few of them, but I would like to hear from some folks that have used them and what they think about them,
                     thanks,   Travis   aka ElectroBuell      ???

Hello!
Also I haven't use a 36v motor by myself.but I export this kind product from china.Brushless DC Hub motor is the mostly kinds motor used in china, with 36v 10AH lead-acid battery or lithium ion battery.
If your mean is Brushless DC Hub motor, its  quality depends on 3 main parts: silicon steel sheet, enamel insulated wire, iron core.
Generaly, a 36v motor should reach 25km/h max speed and 10 or more grade ability, 75 load ability.

To clarify that , reeling machine can't used in Brushless DC Hub motor Production process mostly. So the winding cooper processed by handworkers, their Proficiency of this process is other important of this products. Because this process of brushiess dc motor production need lots handwork, so china become main country to export it.
But the quality of silicon steel sheet made in china is difference with Japan, Germany and some other country be good at in silicon sheet production.

If your mean is brush motor, reeling machine can complete  winding cooper process. So the main exporter maybe not us. And brush motor have bigger grade ability than bushless, but brush easy to damage and max speed can't reach to bushless motor.
