Glad they're finally ready to release that one. I have the older version and am waiting for BLE support before upgrading, since I use iOS primarily (I keep an old contract-less Android phone just for diagnostics).

I have linked it from the wiki as well:

I have one of the previous versions as well.
Any idea of the differences? Or possibly direct
me to where I may find the information.

Nice, glad to hear it. The dongle is a good product, and gets us closer to better data logging and learning how to make our bikes perform better.

How does this differ from a cheap ODB-II dongle from eBay? The Hollywood Electrics site doesn't seem to give any details.

A stock automotive OBD-II dongle will not connect to the right pins or expose the console in the same way. With the right skills, you can probably customize a stock dongle to do the job, but I wouldn't count on it. I have a cast-off Automatic OBD plug that I might try my luck with, but it's more likely to be one of my unfinished projects. I could mail or give it to someone who felt more motivated for whatever reason.

The DigiNow dongle is reliable and does the job fine. I would like more features (a little scriptability or something so I can have it reliably stream data to my phone for recording, or easier sign-in and settings customization) but it's valuable as is.

I got the dongle but I am having some issue to connect to my laptop.

When I try to pair it, it ask for the passcode (which I leave it blank) and after that I see two new COM interfaces
on the device manager (WIN10), COM6 and COM7.
I use CoolTerm to try to connect to COM6 and a window pop up to finish the pairing, but it error out ...
If I connect to COM7 it doesn't find anything.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Giacomo

Passcode should be 1314 or 1415

I've been working on improving the python log parsing software and could use some example decoded data. A set of files with both decoded text from the reaper and .bin files from the app on the same bike would be a great help in deciphering the binary files. I'm just starting with parsing the BMS logs. What data does the BMS command produce? Can you get a BMS log dump?

You can but things like timestamps isn't going to be something that's easy to read:

I haven't gotten involved in peeking into the logs or firmware, and I don't have any intention to (that's the worst form of drudgery to me), but I'd imagine a hex editor would be more helpful to open the file with than an ASCII editor. I'd also imagine timestamps will be in usual Linux format, i.e. seconds (or milliseconds) since midnight, January 1, 1970.
