So... are we yet at the point of wanting to reverse engineer the Zero App HCI Bluetooth communication stream?

I'll give you a cookie. Or a third gear whatever that is, I don't think my Zero has one though.

It's sort of sad that there is no announcement or even anyone at Zero acknowledging the fact its broke, I'm still waiting for my "In a few Hours" callback from Zero its been over a week.

FYI:  Just discovered an update to the Zero app on Android.  Downloading it now and heading out to lunch.  I'll report back later if the "battery charge" issue is corrected.  Fingers crossed!

The jury is still out.  Before I started the bike, I activated the app and checked the battery status while it was on the charger and there was a non-zero value in that field (which seems strange because the bike was fully charged).  When I got back from lunch and with three additional miles on the odometer I plugged the bike back into the outlet and checked the battery again.

According to the dash, the battery was at 99%, but that field on the app was now showing 0.00.  Very strange.

No dice for me.  I updated the app and then rode home.  When I plugged in at 60% SOC, it still had 0:00 Time to Full Charge.

Confirmed.  No difference.  According to the "What's new" on the app page, they fixed a crash, and the battery stats load faster.  Can't recall ANYBODY here complaining the app crashed on them... and as for the battery stats well, they may load faster, but they are still WRONG.

I've heard that they're using a new app development team that is local, and that we should expect something much nicer soon, but that they haven't fully debugged the issues on the current app yet. So, they're definitely aware and want to get a fix out ASAP.

Every time I see apps are available for update I get excited hoping one of them is the Zero app, and every time I am disappointed...

I'm confused. The app I downloaded last July for IOS, works fine.  Is the issue with this version, an update or something else?

With my DSR ZF13 of 2016, the performance of the app is less than stellar. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it works while charging, sometimes it doesn't. And no charge time indication anymore, if it does connect.

My thoughts are that I bought a motorcycle, not a bluetooth device to hook up to my phone so as long as it rides it's fine, but a working app would be very nice...

I just downloaded the latest Zero app update and tried it out on my 2014S.  I can't tell any difference from the original app. So perhaps the update only works with the newer models.  ???

I'm showing the Zero app is 1.2.0 which is the same (broken) version I currently have on my I phone now.

App V1.4.59 (19) on Android 7.1.1 (25) can't pull BMS logs from 2016 SR. Bike logs downloaded just fine.

Confirmed here on 2016 DSR. Fails to pull BMS logs.
