I went down with my FXS, hand guards and givi top box pretty much saved the bike from 99% of the damage.

Shaved off some metal from the kickstand.
Left hand guard scratched and rotated a bit, a bit bent.
Commuter wind screen got pushed a bit by the rotated hand guard.
Givi top box and support got slightly scratched.

Nothing too bad.
Glad I always wear full gear.

Man down update...

I was back on the road this weekend.  Put about 50 miles on the bike yesterday.  Very impressed with the durability in a minor crash.  The kickstand and the left handlebar/grip took all the wear, just a minor scratch on the Givi (really minor).  My driveway looks much worse!  My shoulder is back at 80% or so as well.  I was glad to see the bike tracked and handled fine.

On a side note, I can't recommend Tegaderm for road rash enough.  My right arm and knee were pretty scraped up.  I put Tegaderm on them after washing off the rash and my right arm is already pretty much healed.  The stuff keeps the wound from scabbing up (keeps it flexible) and that cuts down on the pain during healing as well.  Pretty much breathable cellophane with adhesive.  A better solution is to actually wear my Johnny Rocket...

Thanks for the kind words.

I'm glad you're all right.

A stuntman once told me the secret to not having scars is vitamin E. Either get a salve with it included, or take the capsules and pierce them over your wound. I can back up his advice with experience.

I'm going to look in Tegraderm though.
